Amnesty International Shuts Down India Operations: Here's Why We Should Celebrate

Amnesty International has shut down its India operations citing witch hunt by the Government. It is lying.

This piece is more in the nature of a happy update to the deserved fate that Amnesty International met in India.

The sheer self-righteous chutzpah of Amnesty International citing government witch hunt as the reason for halting its India operations is breathtaking. The aggressor playing the victim is perhaps one of the greatest psychological skulduggeries that the Far Left has perfected to an art form in the 20th century. Thus, when Amnesty in its official statement says that the Government of India has all frozen its bank accounts and claims it "fears reprisal from the Government," nobody is amused.

The best definition of Amnesty International is just three words: breaking India force. For comprehensive details on why it is a breaking India force and the kind of damage it has caused in India, please see below The Dharma Dispatch series exposing its shenanigans.

For a global NGO that operates like a multinational corporation whose funding sources are dubious and sleazy, and whose operations in India include supporting Kashmiri separatists, and Islamic mobs during the anti-CAA agitation, claiming victimhood is a sick joke at best. Amnesty's latest human rights' cause includes showing sympathy for the accused drug peddler Rhea Chakraborthy. We wonder which extended definition of "human rights" this falls under.

More fundamentally, let's not forget the fact that it was Amnesty International that stood in the frontline of the combined lobby of the global Left, Church and Islamists to deny the US Visa to Narendra Modi, then the chief minister of Gujarat. In plain language, this is tantamount to interfering in India's internal affairs and again, doesn't fit any definition of human rights.

Amnesty's claim that it is ceasing its India operations because the Government has frozen its bank accounts is only partially true. Perhaps the real reason is the latest amendment to the FCRA act. Indeed, Amit Shah's masterstroke is bang on target.

More fundamentally, India didn't invite Amnesty International into the country to do human rights or whatever mischief it does under the pretext. As we've seen in this article, Amnesty was able to open its shop in India only after nearly four decades of sustained lobbying. It must not be forgotten that the two-term demonic UPA government which was controlled by an evil cabal of breaking India NGOs welcomed Amnesty with open arms.

Apart from tearing India's social fabric and meddling in dangerous issues like Kashmir separatism, Amnesty has been at the forefront of churning out atrocity literature in India. Needless, this literature becomes the raw material for their India policy of Western powers, who are hardly friendly to us.

Consider this excerpt from Amnesty's official statement on its shut down:

On 5 August 2020, marking the first anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution of India, Amnesty International India released an update on the situation of human rights in Jammu and Kashmir.

Amnesty unwittingly gives its game away here. Given how sensitive and perilous the situation in Kashmir still is, we wonder how Amnesty could gain access to its self-described "situation of human rights in Jammu and Kashmir." Second, abrogation of Article 370 directly relates to India's sovereign integrity and is a question of national security, areas that pesky NGOs have no business interfering in.

The same point equally applies to its claim about police complicity in the Delhi riots earlier this year. It is now clear that what happened in Shaheen Bagh and in East Delhi was an intifada, and not a protest by any stretch of imagination. It is also clear that it was masterminded by Aam Aadmi Party leader Tahir Hussain, among others. However, to Amnesty's eyes Tahir Hussain and his ilk appear like victims. Its worth recalling the fact that these words of the Nobel Laureate David Trimble elicited anger from Amnesty International:

One of the great curses of this world is the human rights industry. They justify terrorist acts and end up being complicit in the murder of innocent victims.

Amnesty International shuttering its India operations is the much-needed breath of fresh air, a long-overdue cleansing. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Please distribute sweets and milk to your family, friends and well-wishers. I'm planning to do the same.
