Nothing has changed. The centerstage of the theatre of Jihad-fuelled carnage largely remains the same. Only that its side wings have jutted out and continue to expand westwards—from West Bengal to Uttar Pradesh…that other theatre of the same carnage located at the near-extreme north-western India, Punjab, was lost more than seventy years ago to…but we’re getting ahead of ourselves.
Nothing has changed and nothing that’s happening even as we speak was unexpected. Quite the contrary, it was merely a question of when.
India as a nation and Bharatavarsha as the last non-Abrahamic bastion-cum-guardian of what can truly be called a civilisation, currently offers us a cruel luxury of historical insights spread roughly over a century. Perhaps the most important of these insights is the fact that the Indian National Congress instantly forfeited all moral authority to claim that it delivered freedom to India the moment it caved in to crass blackmail and halted full population exchange with Pakistan. From this perspective, India attained a questionable political freedom by dangerously enfeebling its civilisational roots thereby lethally endangering its survival. We “adopted” an imitative Constitution by placing the core element that sustained us for thousands of years as a civilisation and culture on the sacrificial altar: Dharma. As a consequence, and as the history of the last seventy-two years shows, we got a Constitution that has largely worked only in its violation and simultaneously—perhaps irretrievably—lost our Dharma. If this sounds grave, dreary, grim and cynical, I humbly urge you to merely skim the surface and learn about the kind of reasons for which large sections of Hindus are mindlessly converting to Christianity.
It took seven long decades but the Gandhian and more prominently, the Nehruvian Congress today stands fully naked as the party that not only partitioned Bharatavarsha and gifted Pakistan to Muslims but steadily, recklessly created conditions for several potential partitions. The Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) is perhaps the last attempt to at least stem that impending eventuality. Or to put it more bluntly, the Congress party today is the political arm of the global breaking India forces. I suppose this is another sort of vindication of my constant refrain that we really need to re-examine our notion of whether what we obtained in 1947 was really independence and freedom.
Nothing indeed, has changed. What is happening in West Bengal, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and now Kerala, is recent history sickeningly repeating itself. The most illustrative instance of this recent history is the widely known episode of Direct Action Day, euphemism for Jihad against Hindus. Acharya R.C. Majumdar and other luminaries have described it as a “Holocaust in Calcutta.” Back in 1946, Bengal Chief Minister Shaheed Suhrawardy, Jinnah’s opportunistic henchman who carried out the wanton Jihad in Calcutta made no secret of his intentions when he wrote in The Statesman:
Bloodshed and disorder are not necessarily evil in themselves, if resorted to for a noble cause. Among Muslims today, no cause is dearer or nobler than Pakistan.
A pithy description[i] of Suhrawardy’s brazen style and intimidatory methods written by his own contemporary reads thus:
Mr Suhrarwardy was a party ‘boss’ of the type who believes that no politician need ever be out of office once his strong-arm squads have gained control of the polling booths; that no minister should ever suffer financially by being in public life: that no relative or political cohort should ever go unrewarded. He loved money, champagne, Polish blondes and dancing the tango in nightclubs…He loved Calcutta, including its filthy, festering slums, and it was from the noisome alleyways of Howrah that he picked the goondas who accompanied him everywhere as a bodyguard.
A small sample of the outcome of such politicking is available below[i] as an extract from the report on the horrific Direct Action Day Jihad against Hindus:
The Bengalis who counted on 16 August [1946] were…[Suhrawardy’s] mobs…An old woman was stopped, taunted, tossed from hand to hand, and then suddenly, when she scratched or bit or kicked, cracked over the head with a lathi. There was sport to be had with legless and armless cripples, of whom there are plenty in Calcutta. They were tipped off their wheel-trays and left helpless in the road, or stuffed into a sandbin and left to yelp. There were small girls and old men who were frog-marched to a place where…one of Calcutta’s wandering sacred cows had been caught and they were forced to hold the knife that cut its throat; a terrible act of sacrilege for a Hindu. (Even in the Bengal famine, no Hindu deliberately killed and certainly never ate a cow.)
Sounds familiar to the ghastly act of a Kerala Youth Congress leader slaughtering a cow in broad daylight as recently as 2017? Except that in those days, Suhrawardy was fighting against the Congress Party for his pet cause of obtaining Pakistan.
Nothing has changed indeed.
Do you know who is worse than even Chief Minister Suhrawardy? It is Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Suhrawardy was a committed Jihadi faithfully following the tenets of his cult. What excuse does Mamata Banerjee have for continuing to either condone or be complicit in the frequent, targeted harassment, slaughter and displacement of Hindus by Muslim mobs? She has indeed learnt two things incredibly well from the likes of Suhrawardy: that violence pays and the manner in which Pakistan was able to carve out 33 per cent out of undivided Bharatavarsha exclusively for Muslims. For which we have to read the summary[i] of the dastardly outcome of the Direct Action Day.
Between dawn on the morning of 16 August 1946 and dusk three days later, the people of Calcutta hacked, battered, burned, stabbed or shot 6,000 of each other to death, and raped and maimed another 20,000…But the filthy and dreadful slaughter which turned Calcutta into a charnel house for seventy-two hours in August 1946 is important because it did more than murder innocent people…It changed the shape of India and the course of history. The corpses of men, women and children lay stinking in the gutters of Chowringhee Square until the only reliable garbage collectors of India, the vultures, picked them clean.
the moralist is the most useless and contemptible of creatures. He is useless in that he would expend his energies upon making judgments rather than upon gaining knowledge, for the reason that judgment is easy and knowledge is difficult. He is contemptible in that his judgments reflect a vision of himself which in his ignorance and pride he would impose upon the world. I implore you, do not become a moralist; you will destroy your art and your mind.Alfred North Whitehead
The pacifist is as surely a traitor to his country and to humanity as is the most brutal wrongdoer.Theodore Roosevelt
That was how Pakistan was achieved. Just one comprehensive and all-out massacre in a single city that lasted just a week was enough to make the Congress quiver in its knees and cravenly agree to cut up 33% of Bharatavarsha to create a near-permanent Jihadi unit of geography called Pakistan. This was the best, bloodiest, and truest practical demonstration of the full import and consequence of Mohandas Gandhi’s “courageous” non-violence and his “tremendous moral force.” Small wonder that this Congress was quite obviously fated to be taken over by an Italian.
The verdict of history is quite clear: the Partition of India was an achievement of Jinnah’s cult of Islamic violence in equal if not greater measure as Gandhi’s fatal combination of twisted moralism and perverse pacifism.
But there’s also a little-known backstory to this.
When Mohammad Ali Jinnah announced 16 August 1946 as the date of the Direct Action Day, it was the Viceroy Lord Wavell who was alarmed, and not anyone in the Congress Party. Especially not Jawaharlal Nehru whose typical boisterous, brash, and imprudent speeches and actions had in the first place solidified Jinnah’s decision to launch a Jihad against Hindus. Nehru had seriously underestimated Jinnah who had always assessed Nehru as an impudent bully and a fool. Here are Jinnah’s own words:
[Nehru is] an arrogant Brahmin who covers his Hindu trickiness with a veneer of Western education. When he makes promises, he always leaves a loophole, and when he cannot find a loophole, he just lies.
Nehru’s contempt and hatred towards Jinnah was no less ferocious. He had dismissed Jinnah as unrefined, uncouth, had read no real books except law books, and was not even a true Muslim.
In this backdrop of decades-long mutual hatred, distrust and animosity, on the morning of 16 August 1946, Nehru drove to Jinnah’s “ugly, sumptuous house” on Malabar Hill because he had been persuaded by Viceroy Wavell to ask Jinnah to withdraw the Direct Action Day Jihad. For Nehru, this was a humiliating climbdown in front of a far inferior mortal. For Jinnah, it was his moment of victory. Their courteous meeting lasted eighty minutes. When it was over, the battle lines had only hardened.
Jinnah had refused to yield.
Jawaharlal Nehru was incensed and resolved within himself to destroy Jinnah, the greatest obstacle to India’s freedom. Which was true but then, we’re talking about Nehru, the uncrowned emperor of cluelessness. As he drove away from Malabar Hill, Nehru spotted the black flags and the banners proclaiming ‘Direct Action Day’ flying from Muslim houses and outside shuttered Muslim shops. A seething Nehru still failed to understand its deadly significance: that he had witnessed this scene in Bombay, a heavily Hinduized metropolis. He was fantasizing about the methods he would use to destroy not just Jinnah but the “myth of his Pakistan.”
Even as Nehru was trying to persuade Jinnah, Suhrawardy’s Government, which had declared 16 August as a public holiday, proceeded according to plan. Hordes of Muslim League party workers and Muslim mobs took out a procession on the streets of Calcutta. We’ve already narrated some tidbits from the Jihad that ensued. What follows next[i] is what is relevant now.
The horrors of Muslim goondaism in its worst form were let loose upon Hindus…in Calcutta. The Hindus were taken unawares…they were butchered like sheep, their women ravished and their houses…looted and burnt. It has now been proved beyond all doubt that this great killing and outrage were deliberately organized beforehand with the active support of the Muslim League Government…Chief Minister Suhrawardy shielded the worst ruffians in Calcutta and encouraged them to do their worst without any fear.
Nothing indeed, has really changed. Barely hours after the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill was passed even in the Rajya Sabha, the so-called protests began. As we note in the aforementioned passage, there is nothing spontaneous or accidental about the ongoing “protests.” One of the core elements of the well-oiled and vast Jihadi and Naxal network spawned for decades by the toxic Congress-Communist combine is the manner in which the members are always battle-ready. Battle-ready against the Indian state. On its own soil. By a section of its own citizens.
Nothing has really changed. Even today, the original theatre of carnage mentioned in the beginning of this essay has taken centerstage again. Entire railway stations were torched. West Bengal burnt for four full days without respite and is still on boil. And just yesterday, the combined embodiment of Tataka and Shurpanakha led an alleged rally in Calcutta, which the media shamelessly described as a protest. From West Bengal to Aligarh to Delhi, a slogan that caught our attention is the threat by Muslims to unleash Khilafat 2.0. This is a good time for all Hindus in India to recall how Khilafat 1.0 unfolded for them, especially in the Malabar region.
Nothing. Has. Indeed. Changed.
Jawaharlal is one of my dearest friends…I have nevertheless to say with regret that he is at times apt to be carried away by his feelings. Not only so, but sometimes he is so impressed by theoretical considerations that he is apt to underestimate the realities of a situation. The mistake of 1946 proved…costly.’
